:( It’s one of my favourites….. Still attempting to find a supplier. Possibly this one may be lost and therefore I will put a block on it’s sales so please enquire if you’d really like one and I’ll let you know if there is any further progress.
If you happen to be able to supply bud wood please email us at eumundiroses1@gmail.com

Continuous flowering through summer and spot flowering through year. Moderately fragrant. A variety loved for it’s exhibition form and unique colour and perfume. A reasonably hardy plant but not as vigorous as some.

Tried and true, this classic rose was (appropriately) bred by C. Trew in the UK in 1973. It was introduced, commercially, in the same year by Warley Rose Gardens, Ltd under the name “Admiral Rodney”. It became available in Australia in 1976.

The rose is named for Admiral Rodney, an 18th century British naval officer. It is claimed that Admiral Rodney pioneered the, then, radical and highly unorthodox tactic of ‘breaking the line’ to claim a famous victory over the French navy in 1782. This makes Admiral Rodney a perfect gift for someone who is determined, creative, unconventional and innovative.

Admiral Rodney blooms in exhibition form (petals spiralling out from a high centre). Flowers feature around 45 petals offset beautifully by large, glossy, deep green leaves.

Admiral Rodney spot flowers throughout the year, but is most prolific in summer It thrives best in full sun in the garden, or perhaps in a large pot on a sunny deck. The plant can be expected to reach a medium height of around 60cm but has been known to reach 100cm.

Potted Rose
Supplied in Plastic Pots of various sizes. Anytime is the right time to buy potted. During early summer is flowering time for roses. In Winter they are sleepy and dormant. Late Summer they will be summer pruned. Winter they will be winter pruned. Availability may be that the rose is in stock ready to go or awaiting to harden off or establish before sending or it may be Pre-Order meaning it is out of stock currently but can be ordered ahead of time to effectively put your name in line for that variety. Wait times will be advised where needed. Choose this option for better survival and faster establishment. When planting the roots remain intact with the soil.

Bare Root Rose
Supplied as bare roots meaning the roots are bare with no soil. These plants have been dug from a propagation farm and now transplant to your garden. The onus is on the customer to care for the plant until it develops it’s new root system. For collect orders please bring a bucket to transfer them to; Postal and freight; are wrapped with damp peat moss. Bare root plants are perishable and must be planted immediately after soaking for 24 hours for best survival. Bare-root roses require more attention to watering in particular. The roots must always be moist and never dry. Generally one would expect to have approximately 80/90% success with bare root plants depending on general attention. It is strongly recommended your garden bed or pot be ready for planting and for collect orders please collect asap. Additional charges apply for potting of all collect orders not picked up within 3 days of notification. Bare Root Only available June/July/August of each year while stocks last. Pre-orders are highly recommended. Demand is greater than production across the rose industry. Waiting for specific varieties is very normal.

Australia Post Express or Fastway Couriers is listed as Australia wide flat rate: Rates will be automatically calculated AFTER you have entered your address details on the form. Please check the amount. If it seems unreasonable please contact us. The calculator is good but not infallible.

Parcels sent are charged according to their actual weight or cubic weight equivalent, whichever is greater. These charges are automatically calculated by the website once your address is entered on the order form. The calculated amount will be displayed prior to payment.
Expect 2-4 working days express and 4-21 days parcel post after we have notified that your order is ready and has been consigned. Courier destinations to major centres normally overnight to 4 working days after notification. During busy periods or if goods need to be propagated or wait for bare root season there can be lengthy delays. We will notify as much as we can of any delays. Expect 3 to 6 weeks lead time for most orders. Depending on season and availability it can be only days or can be a long wait even years for some varieties. These will list as available by pre-order. For weekends and Public holidays please note that we will avoid any holdover in depots where we possibly can. If your order needs to be received by a specific date or any other special instructions regarding the delivery there is a delivery comments section on the order form where you can provide this information. Please refrain from contacting us where possible regarding when the delivery will arrive. There is a chronological system in place that ensures customers receive their deliveries in turn. The list of orders is always on screen and constantly monitored for items ready to leave. If you’ve not received a notice that your order is coming it’s most likely not ready yet. Please check if your item is listed as “in stock” or “pre-order” They will both most likely say available. In stock generally means it is in stock at the nursery now. However bear in mind that stock moves very quickly and those changes may not be up to the minute. Best to check stock first if it’s important. Email eumundiroses1@gmail.com In the subject write “CHECK STOCK”. The email will be given priority.
Available by pre-order means you will need to wait until that item returns to stock. This could be a matter of days or can be up to 3 years or more for rare or in high demand difficult to produce varieties. Again please also “CHECK STOCK” Occasionally you may be pleasantly surprised. The stock can be here and not yet entered into inventory. Once an order is paid we do not refund. Please refrain from unpleasant calls, texts and emails over goods you wish to be earlier than they possibly can be. These are not helpful and will be blocked. Urgent orders will be treated as such where marked on the order itself with the date required.

To outer destinations please expect delivery times up to 3 weeks from time of leaving Eumundi. Plants are packed to handle up to a few weeks if necessary but only if the plants are not exposed to heat. Please consider options carefully as these are perishable goods. We would much prefer you could find a way to collect or wait for one of our runs where we deliver ourselves to many areas.
