Blackberry Nip is a hardy choice for most climates and conditions. We find it performs well in Queensland, is disease resistant, has strong, perfect rose perfume and the most stunning colour I have ever seen starting as a deep purple turning more violet as it ages. Most don’t do that. The colour in the photo is quite real photographed in September of 2017. (Growers tips will be provided with your rose order and on the website). This colour is at the extreme end of the colour spectrum. It happens every now and then and hence my excitement to show off the rose we had grown.
Blackberry Nip was released in 1998 by Rob Somerfield, New Zealand and was imported to Australia. Reading the processes involved in achieving roses of excellence such as this, one has the utmost respect for these breeders.
Please note as with everything in nature colour varies. The colour of this particular rose may vary from deep mulberry, stunning cerise pink to deep violet as the photos displayed will indicate. The rose is an award winner with stunning form, disease resistance and hardiness in all soil conditions. Her perfume is a true strong rose scent. One of my very favourite roses.

Disclaimer: Purple Heart is the name given to our collection of roses we consider to be the best of the best; (Purple heart being our Eumundi Roses logo). The purple rose posted on facebook was grown in Eumundi in clay soil and came from a 3 year old plant. There are no camera tricks, dyes, or fancy colour changes involved. The rose grew naturally the colour you see in the photos and was used in a bouquet of flowers. Another photo shows another of the really purple ones used in a bridal bouquet. Blackberry Nip is it’s registered name given to it by the breeder which I have now publicly disclosed. nywhere I can better the postage and delivery we will do and adjust later. Thankyou so much to all who have ordered.
